4 decades of getting it right
Bob Allen started the business in 1981, selling minerals direct to farms across West Cork. He built it the old-fashioned way: turning up, listening, and making products that worked. By 1986 it had grown into Bob Allen (Nutritional Supplements) Ltd.
When Bob retired in 1995, Gerald and Jane Allen took over, and they've been growing it ever since. What started as a local farm round now supplies customers across the whole of Ireland, largely through word of mouth.
Proven in our own yard
Top Horse wasn't developed in a marketing meeting. Gerald & Jane's daughter, Madeline, is a professional showjumper and producer. She competes, brings on young horses and breeds her own at home, and every one of them is fed on Top Horse. That's the real test.
From youngstock to horses competing at the top of the sport, it has to deliver condition, soundness and performance, day in, day out. If it's good enough for Madeline's horses, it's good enough for yours, whether you're jumping at the weekend or hacking down the lane.
Every bit of Top Horse is made in our own licensed facility in West Cork, using the best possible ingredients.
